Dr B Santhosh Kumar is presently working as a Dean R & D and Head, Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Guru Nanak Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, Telangana India. He pursued Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Director of Technical Education between 1997 to 2000. He continued pursuing Bachelor of Engineering - Computer Science and Engineering from Bharathiar University between 2001 to 2004. Subsequently, he pursued Master of Engineering with Specialisation of Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, Tiruchirappalli between 2008 to 2011. With a strong desire in research and development, he perused and completed his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Anna University, Chennai in the year 2018, which was highly commended. He completed a Research Fellowship at INTL International University in Malaysia and a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Louisiana in the United States.
His research interests are data science, machine learning, blockchain technology, and data mining. He has 157 publications, including 28 SCI, 45 Scopus-indexed, 30 peer-reviewed journals, and 54 conference papers. His research articles garnered 1,845 citations on Google Scholar and 1202 from Scopus. He received four patent grants and submitted 30 patent applications. He has one copyright. He authored 28 textbooks and wrote 10 book chapters. He has received 27 research awards from various agencies for his academic performance and research contributions. He has also reviewed over 1445 papers for reputable journals around the world, including IEEE Transactions, IEEE Access, ACM Transactions, and others, and has served as a session chair for several international conferences held by ASDF, IEEE, and Springer.
He is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, a fellow member of the Institute of Engineers, a life member of the Indian Society of Technical Education, a professional member of the Association for Computing Machinery, a member of the International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology, a member of the Database Management Systems Community, a member of the Universal Association of Computer and Electronics Engineers, a member of the International Association of Engineers, and a global member of the Internet Society. He is an ACM Distinguished Speaker and delivered various lectures all over India through ACM Student Chapter.
He has produced remarkable academic achievements in all the subject handled in undergraduate and postgraduate. His area of interest includes Data Science, Block Chain Technology, Machine Learning, Internet of Things, but not limited to. His profile was included in the World Book of Researchers' 2019 Researcher of the Year compilation, published in the United Kingdom and the United States. He ranked as the No. 1 researcher in Guru Nanak Institute by AD Scientific Index Ranking for World Scientist & University Ranking.
