A REPORT ON ANNUAL DAY 2023 CELEBRATIONS
The beginning of a year is an eventful time for colleges and students. It is also the time when most colleges organize the most important event of the year, the annual day. Celebrating the annual day provides the college with an opportunity to showcase its achievements. This function also gives students an opportunity to showcase their various talents and interact with their teachers in a more informal environment. From dance performances to plays and musical events to speeches, the annual day is one day that is eagerly anticipated by children and parents alike, every year. This is also a day when achievers are felicitated for their accomplishments in the academic year.
Guru Nanak Institute of Technology celebrated 22nd Annual Day on 8th April, 2023. The proceedings began with Greetings to the entire member present on stage and off-stage. Department of Civil Engineering took over the charge for organizing the Annual day, 2023.

It was presided by the esteemed Chief Guest Dr. K.Venkateswara Rao, Among other dignitaries present were Dr. HS Saini - Managing Director, Dr. Sanjeev Srevastava - Dean Academics and Dr. S. Sreenatha Reddy GNIT Principal. A group of students were invited to come on stage to present bouquet and call upon the guests over the stage. HOD’S of all departments, faculty and staff participated in this event.

The programme commenced with the National song Vandematharam with feeling of inspiration and togetherness.
Welcome Address by Dr. S.P. Yadav, HOD ECE Department.
Dr. S.P. Yadav, HoD, ECE department, in his welcome note, highlighted the achievements of the institute, students and faculty members during last academic year. He gave a statement that “Success is not permanent and Failure is not final”, “Never stop after Success and Never stop after Failure” and in future the students should go out of the college with brilliant performance and bring a good name to the Institution.

Presentation of Annual Report to Institution by Dr. S. Sreenatha Reddy, Principal GNIT
Annual report of institution was presented by Dr. S. Sreenatha Reddy, Principal GNIT for the Academic Year (2022 – 2023). He said that “Learning is not the product of teaching, it is a product of activity of learners”. He read the achievements of the Staff and Students and spoke about the Institution’s quality academic performance which has earned many laurels including accreditations from prominent bodies of education in India like, UGC, NBA, NAAC etc. He further spoke about how children must be brought up, how to keep up with the social and technological changes of modern life, and the impact of society on education.

Dr. H.S. Saini, M.D, GNI addressed gathering in simple words. He spoke about improvement of skills and how important are the skills for academics, placements etc., and updates of the college and congratulated the faculties and students on their achievements.

Dr. K. Venkateswara Rao spoke about the importance and speciality of Guru Nanak Institutions. He explained about how to understand the subject effectively by giving an example of Newtons gravity, law of conservation of energy etc. and spoke how to cross the obstacles whichever students face. And finally, appreciated the faculties and students for their achievements.

Classical Performance
Cultural Events
Different cultural events like Dance, Singing, mimicry, Beat boxing were conducted on stage. Dance event began with Kuchipudi representing our tradition. Remaining dances were performed in groups and singles bringing the essence of Nostalgia and magic. The music was performed in great joy. Almost 40 to 50 students participated in all the events with great enthusiasm.
