HOD Message
Computer Science always had the aspiration to go way beyond “coding”. It has always been more than just writing programs to make machines perform algorithms. Computer Scientists are problem solvers. Computer Scientists create communities. We help to build the infrastructures for social networks; we also work on solutions to protect our personal data; make data communication secure across a wide variety of “communication networks”; we build solutions to visualize information; we work on tools that help to make decisions by asking smarter questions, and bring more and more data into our decision making.
With computers — as smart tools to help us think — we have to rely less on guessing. We can support our decisions by data. This is becoming more and more important in our increasingly digital economies. Hence, Data Science is a new area of research where we use computational tools to gather data, filter them, separate noise from useful information, and create knowledge — from which we can make better decisions and build smarter, enabling tools for our daily lives and to support our professional endeavors.

Join us, and become an ambassador of Computer Science. Learn more about Computer Science as a student; we love to share our passion with you. Learn how to not only use computational tools, but how to work in teams, share ideas, present, communicate — in short, join creative teams that make a positive difference.
Work with us if you are an entrepreneur or partner with us to enhance our digital economy, or let us help you solve challenges in your industry.
Following our Faculty of Science’s motto “Curiosity Drives Discovery”, we as Computer Scientists create computational “Discovery Tools” and “Think Tools”.
Welcome to our world.
Best Regards,

Laboratories
Data Structures Lab
This lab is dedicated for students to practice data structures like stacks, queues and linked lists, implement searching and sorting algorithms, and acquire knowledge about applications of data structures. Students are made familiar with C, C++, JAVA programming and its applications. The latest platforms/compilers are provided to the students to run the programs.

Object Oriented Programming through Java Lab
This lab is dedicated for students to practice Able to develop programs with reusability Develop programs for file handling Handle exceptions in programming Develop applications for a range of problems using object-oriented programming techniques.
This lab reinforces the understanding of basic object oriented programming concepts (objects, classes and subclasses, methods) and their expressions in Java. Students get trained to analyze and design solution for real world problems based on object-oriented principles and write simple Graphical User Interface (GUI) interfaces. This lab imparts hands on experience on abstract.

Operating Systems Lab
This lab has provided a platform to the students to the study of different operating systems such as windows 98/ME/XP, Unix & Linux. The objective of this lab is to provide a practical exposure to students to simulate and implement operating system concepts such as scheduling, deadlock management, file management and memory management. Students also get trained on the implementation of various operating system concepts such as scheduling, deadlock management, file management and memory management. The latest platforms/compilers are provided to the students to run the programs.

Database Management Systems Lab
This lab is dedicated for students to work on practical experiments, projects and research work, related to courses such as Database Management Systems, Big Data Analysis. etc. The requirement of modern days is to have an automated system that manages, modifies and updates data accurately. This is achieved by a Database Management System in robust, correct and non redundant way. Through DBMS laboratory, students will get knowledge about the database environment, a way to manage data and access the data quickly and efficiently. The latest platforms and MySQL are provided to the students to run the programs.

Software Engineering Lab
This lab is dedicated for students to get hands on experience in developing a software project by using various software engineering principles and methods in each of the phases of software development. Students will be trained to translate end-user requirements into system and software requirements, generate a high-level design of the system from the software requirements and develop a simple testing report. The latest platforms and Star UML are provided to the students to run the programs.

Machine Learning Lab
This lab is dedicated for students to get hands on experience in Understand the concepts of computational intelligence like machine learning Ability to get the skill to apply machine learning techniques to address real-time problems in different areas Understand the Neural Networks and their usage in machine learning applications.

Software Testing Methodologies Lab
The lab is dedicated to provide a practical exposure to learn the concepts The students should be able to: Gain knowledge of phases in the life cycle of software development, project organization, project control and process instrumentation Analyze the major and minor milestones, artifacts and metrics from management and technical perspective Design and develop software product using conventional and modern principles of software project management.
