Telangana Rashtra Avatarna Dashabdi Utsavalu

Telangana Rashtra Avatarna Dashabdi Utsavalu or Telangana State Decennial Formation Day Celebrations are organized by the Government of Telangana in the historic context of the State entering the tenth year after its formation in 2014. It explains the achievements of Telangana in education. Each day of the 21-day long celebrations from 2nd June 2023 is dedicated to showcase progress in a particular sector or initiative. The celebrations will also be marked by cultural events like plays, poetry recitals, Ashtavadhanas, cinema, performances by folk artists, music, and dance. June 20 (Tuesday) is observed as “Telangana Education Day”.

Guru Nanak Institute of Technology celebrated “Telangana Education Day” on 20th June 2023. The event began at 10:00 am with Flag hoisting. Flag hoisting was done by Dr.S.Sreenatha Reddy, Principal GNIT. All H.O.D’s and senior professors participated.


A REPORT ON BLOOD DONATION CAMP


As a part of NSS unit in our college, a Blood donation camp is conducted on 15/04/2023 in association with RED CROSS BLOOD BANK. The camp was started with our Principal Dr S. Sreenatha Reddy, NSS Co-Ordinator Dr. P. Sudha Rani, Departmental HOD’S & NSS student Co-Co Ordinator’s were the part of inauguration event.

Our Principal Dr. S. Sreenath Reddy and the Faculty members of GNIT actively participated in the blood donation camp.The camp was actively organized by the team of NSS student volunteers. The camp started at 11.00 Clock and ended at 4.00 clock. Total no. of participants was 300 for the blood donation.


HEALTH CAMP @ AGAPALLI


NSS volunteers work towards community service in health, education, environment, and rural development. NSS activities include tree plantation, blood donation camps, awareness campaigns, and community service projects in rural areas. Keeping this point in view, as a part of regular NSS activities, One Day Health camp was conducted at Agapalli Village which is 4 kms away from college.

NSS Program Officer, Dr.P.Sudha Rani organized the camp along with 100 NSS volunteers on 16th February, 2023.. The camp focused on giving Health Awareness to elderly people regarding good and healthy Food habits and hygiene. The camp started at 10:00 am. Village sarpanch greeted Guru Nanak Faculties and students. He provided a place for gathering of villagers and conducting the event.


HEALTH CAMP @ IBRAHIMPATNAM


A medical camp was conducted on 20-1-2023 at Ibrahimpatnam village as a part of Unnath Bharath Abhiyaan and regular NSS activity. The camp was conducted for one day. The camp was started with our Principal Dr S. Sreenatha Reddy, NSS Program officer Dr. P. Sudha Rani & NSS student Volunteers were the part of inauguration event. NSS students and faculty volunteers visited the hospital. They surveyed all the wards. Students attended to the patients with different ailments and gave medical counselling. Our Principal Dr. S. Sreenath Reddy and the Faculty members of GNIT actively participated in the blood donation camp.


EDUCATOR’S ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM


The Educator’s Annual Symposium was conducted at Global Peace Auditorium, Brahmakumaris on January 5th, 2023. NSS faculty coordinators and Program Officer , Dr.P.Sudha Rani Participated in this event ,which helps to inculcate values and spirituality in Education for a better tomorrow.


MGNCRE WORKSHOP


Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education conducted a workshop on 11th October 2022 in which our college participated. GNIT was recognized as a member of the National Rural Entrepreneurship Mission consisting of 5 teams. The institute formed 5 teams and pledged to engage for the adapted village service. A Recognition certificate was given to GNIT.


NATIONAL GIRL CHILDREN DAY


A world without girl is as impossible as a world without water. 'The world could come to a standstill without the existence of a girl child. Therefore, every year, National Girl Child Day is celebrated on January 24 to raise awareness to promote the rights, education, health, and nutrition of the girl child across the country. The day was initiated by the Ministry of Women and child development, providing support and opportunity for girls in India.

  • To provide equal rights to girls to attain education
  • To provide protection to women against any harassment
  • To provide freedom to girls to take action against any violence
  • To stop child marriages

On this joyful occasion, the college celebrated by taking ‘Selfies of Mother and Daughter’s to promote the importance, awareness on Girl child.
