He obtained his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Acharya Nagarjuna University in 1996, followed by a master's degree in Production Engineering from JNTU Hyderabad in 2002. Subsequently, he completed his doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from JNTU Hyderabad in August 2016. Currently, he holds the position of Controller of Examinations, Professor, and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering with a teaching career spanning 22 years; he has also accrued 5 years of valuable experience in the manufacturing and processing industries. He has filled two patents in National and one in International.

  • He is an active researcher in the field of Welding Technology and he has published around 34 articles in International and National Technical journals.
  • He has undertaken numerous R&D consultancy projects valued at Rs. 5 Lakhs.
  • He plays a pivotal role in the success of all the National Level Awards achieved by students of Team Super Ignite in the GO-KART Competition.
  • He is the driving force behind the establishment of the Centre of Excellence for Product Development, where projects involving the development of Go-karts, Quad Bikes, Formula Vehicles, and e-Vehicles are undertaken.

Roles and Responsibilities:


  • The Controller of Examinations is responsible for the administration of all examinations of the Autonomous Institution, and it is his responsibility to organise for the preparation, scheduling, and administration of the Institution's examinations, as well as all other dependent concerns related to examinations. In the fulfillment of his duties, the Controller of Examinations shall report to the Principal on a regular basis. The Controller of Examinations should make every effort to ensure that all examinations are held in accordance with the schedule established by GNIT (Autonomous) in the academic calendar. He shall be responsible to arrange for the preparation, scheduling, evaluation, and processing of results through University approval of all examinations and for the payment of remuneration to question paper setters and examiners and all other contingent matters connected with examinations.
  • He has direct supervision of the examination wing, which includes the examination sections, the examination confidential wing, the examination stores, the examination computer section, and the examination records.
  • He will make decisions on all examination-related concerns that do not fall under the purview of the Institution's statutory officers.
  • He shall make the appropriate arrangements for the secure keeping of office files related to the conduct of Autonomous Institution examinations, documents, certifications, and so on by the officials in charge of such materials. He is responsible for convening meetings, issuing notices to the Boards of Examiners and committees appointed by the examination cell, and conducting official contacts on their behalf.
  • He is responsible for maintaining the minutes of the Boards of Examiners and all committees appointed by the aforementioned Boards.
  • He would take extra care to ensure that all examinations performed by the Autonomous Institution are kept secret and confidential.
  • He has responsibility over the examination wing's space, including that for centralized valuation. Furthermore, he should guarantee that the examination rooms, building, laboratories, and stores are adequately organized and equipped.
