Dr. B.  Vijaya Kumar obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bapatla Engineering College in 1996, Master’s Degree in Production Engineering from JNTUH in 2002 and awarded Ph.D in August-2016 from JNTU Hyderabad. Presently he is working as a Professor and Head of the Department in Mechanical Engineering at Guru Nanak Institute of Technology, Ibrahimpatnam, Hyderabad. He has 18 years of teaching experience and 5 years industrial experience in manufacturing and processing industries. He has hands on Experience in Product Design and Manufacturing. He is Expertise in Advanced Welding Techniques, Metal Forming Processes, Metal Casting Processes & Material Science. He has guided 42 B.Tech projects and 17 M. Tech Projects. He is the life member of Indian Institute of Welding, Indian Society for Technical Education and American Society of Mechanical Engineering (LMIIW, LMISTE &ASME).

• B. Vijaya Kumar has filed two patents one in National and one in International.
• He is also a active researcher in the field of Welding Technology and has published around 24 International and National Technical articles.
• He has done many R&D consultancy works worth of Rs. 5 Lakhs
• He is the key person for success of all the National Level Awards received by students of Team super Ignite in

GO-KART Competition.

• He is the key person behind the establishment of Centre of Excellence for Product Development where Go-kart, Quad Bike and Formula Vehicle are developed.
