Civil Engineering students can find large number of opportunities to build in a long term rewarding career. Ample jobs are available for Civil Engineers both in private and public sector, companies can find placement in various Infra structure firms, public works department. Private sector offer large number of opportunities for the Civil Engineers. Another option for the graduates is to work in IT firms as well.
The range and applications of civil engineers is the broadest and the most visible. Given the current infrastructure and construction boom civil engineers are in demand. In fact, the entire infrastructural framework of a modern nation is the creation of civil engineers. Building power plants, dams, airports, sea ports, highways, commercial complexes, skyscrapers, urban rapid transport systems requires civil engineers.
Government of India in its 12th five year plan have given high priority to Infrastructure. Government of India is also planning to implement River Integration project which requires huge number of civil engineers and surveyors.
