Hyderabad: Guru Nanak Institutions (GNIT & GNITC), Ibrahimpatnam – Department of Mechanical Engineering has organized a two day International Conference on Innovations in Mechanical Engineering (ICIME-2019) on 4th and 5th of January 2019 in the indoor AC auditorium in GNITC. This program is sponsored by AICTE, New Delhi, various industries and supported by Guru Nanak Institutions.
The focus of ICIME -2019 is to provide an opportunity for all the professional and aspiring researchers, scientists, academicians and Engineers to exchange their innovative ideas and new research findings in the fields of Mechanical Engineering and its allied disciplines.
The prestigious event of the conference begins with signing up of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between GNI and Vajra Soft Inc, Silicon Vally, USA & Innovaccel India. Dr. H.S. Saini, Managing Director of Guru Nanak Institutions and Mr. BLV Rao, CEO of Vajra Soft Inc, USA signed and exchanged the MOU. The MOU says that they are going to work on 23 disruptive and futuristic technologies which are having a market forecast of US $ 5 trillion for next 5 years. Initially there will be setting up of technology and IT projects at IT park of GNI. This will help a lot to the students, faculty and researchers working with cutting edge technologies globally.
This MOU focuses on high-end technologies and innovative solutions like Internet of Things, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Electronics, civil and mechanical engineering, etc.
The Conference was presided by the chief guest Dr. Dibakar Das, Professor-School of Engineering Sciences and Technology, University of Hyderabad. Guests of honor for this occasion were Mr. B.L.V. Rao, CEO M/S Vajra Soft Inc, Silicon Valley,USA and Innovaccel India Ltd., Mr. E. Sheldon D. Wall brown, Educationalist, USA and Mr. David Fallon, Educationalist, Ireland University.
While addressing the delegates, the chief guest stressed that the research fruits in mechanical engineering should reach the society to develop in faster manner. He advocated the research areas of interest in Mechanical Engineering, such as 3-D printing, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics Manufacturing, Nano-Materials, MEMS and NEMS, Advanced composite materials, advancement in alternate fuels, hybrid vehicles, Etc.
400 Academicians and Researchers from foreign countries like USA, UK, Ethiopia, Sri Lanka and delegates from the states Uttarakhand, Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamilnadu, Punjab, Delhi, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, Rajastan etc and delegates from Prestigious Colleges presented the papers on emerging areas of Mechanical Engineering .
