Students of ECE , GNIT participated in various events conducted by IETE Hyderabad Centre as a part of IETE Foundation Day.

A Report on Engineers Day & IETE Day Celebrations ON 15-09-2018

New IETE Student Committee for the AY- 2018 -19 along with the Dignitaries

To commemorate the memory of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvarayya who had contributed to the field of hydel energy in India and to identify and acknowledge the great works done by our hard working and smart engineers, Engineer's day and IETE Day was celebrated on 15.09.2018 at Indoor auditorium,GNIT in association with IETE Students Forum and ECE Students Association. Prof.A.Ravi Kumar,Chairman, IETE Hyderabad was the chief guest and Prof.V.Bhagya Raj, Chairman, IETE ISF & SB Sub Committee, IETE Hyderabad was the Guest of Honour for the programme.

Ms. Richa Singh, IV ECE welcomed the gathering with the importance of the Engineers day in India.

Prof.B.Kedarnath, HOD, ECE, has addressed the gathering by briefly describing about the objectives of IETE student forum and he has also said about the technical activities organized under the IETE students forum for the academic year 2017-18 and also quoted the importance of Engineers in today’s World remembering the services of Mokshagundam Visveraya garu for Hyderabad.

On the occasion of Engineer’s day and IETE Day Celebrations, various technical activities like Technical Quiz, CIRCUITRIX and Debate competitions were organized and more than 80 students of various years of ECE department has participated. A workshop on Repairing their own Electrnic Gadgets was also conducted by the Students as a part of this celebrations. The initiative of IETE students forum was highly appreciated by all the dignataries, staff members and students.

The Chief Guest Prof. A. Ravi Kumar, Chairman, IETE Hyderabad centre, Prof.V.Bhagya Raj, Chairman, IETE ISF & SB Sub Committee, IETE Hyderabad and Prof. B. Kedarnath were felicitated by the IETE Students forum Student Committee. The winners and runners in various events conducted were awarded by the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour along with Prof. B. Kedarnath, HOD-ECE,GNIT. Mr.I.Sharath chandra, Asst. Prof.,ECE and IETE ISF Coordinator has delivered the vote of thanks.

A New Student Committee for the present Academic Year was announced at the end.

The Heavy Water Plant at Manuguru, Andhra Pradesh is based on the Bithermal Hydrogen Sulphide-Water (H2S-H20) Exchange Process.

The department of ECE, GNIT organized a one day Industrial visit to Heavy Water Board Plant, Manuguru on 19th September 2015 with IVECE students.44 students were accompanied with 2 faculty members.


International conference ICIECE - 2015:

The International Conference on Innovations in Electronics and Communication Engineering ICIECE- 2015 was held on 21st & 22nd AUG 2015..The fields of Robotics , embedded, image processing, nuclear reactors, digital signal processing, sensor technology and pattern recognition were the various fields in which new research findings were designed developed and discussed

Industrial Visit to ‘Doordarshan Kendra’- Ramanthapur& ‘TV Transmitter station’- Malakpet, HYDERABAD

... The ECE Department of Guru Nanak Institute of Technology always strives to provide an exposure to their students on latest developments in the field of science and technology. The continuous encouragement from the Management, Honorable Managing Director and time to time guidance from the Principal & Vice –Principal of GNIT, the Department has obtained permission from Doordarshan-Kendra Saptagiri for their 3rd year students to visit ( TV Studio) at Ramanthapur and TV Transmitter station at Malakpet on 26th & 27th August 2014

During this visit , students got an opportunity to know the technical details of Satellite Coverage, broadcasting of the TV Channels ,broadcasting techniques, ground transmitters ,sound controller ,video controller, transmission through TV tower etc.
